Zoom network

Founded on 1 January 2001, the Communauté d’Agglomération Chalon Val de Bourgogne, more commonly known "Le Grand Chalon", covers 39 towns and villages and a population of 109,000.
From the outset, the Grand Chalon has aimed to work for the economy and development of the territory. Its main remit covers territorial development, improvement of conditions allowing businesses to create jobs, making the territory attractive to encourage the arrival and development of business.

In 2011, the "Grand Chalon qui nous ressemble" territorial project padded out its scope and gave an additional dimension by also becoming an urban district that develops public services to ease the daily lives of its population. This project is based on essential values that have led to the definition of give priority areas: attractive, supportive, ecological, responsible and open.
